DESPERATE SITUATIONS CALL FOR DESPERATE MEASURES: KENYA’S EXTERNAL DEBT MUST BE CANCELLED TO TACKLE CORONAVIRUS CRISIS
This year’s World Health Day, comes amid an unprecedented global crisis. It is for this reason thatmore than 100 organisations are calling for developing countries’ external debt to be cancelled to help fight the Covid-19 health and economic crisis. Cancelling Kenya’s external debt payments for FY 2020/21 would free up approximately KSH 343 billion.
