IPF undertakes training programmes on various aspects of public finance in collaboration with partners. The training programmes are specially tailored to the needs of the participants and deal with specific themes. These trainings are targeted at County Government’s officers (Executive and Assembly) State corporations, Ministries and Departments and GOK Agencies and persons interested in Public Finance Management.
IPF work on public financial management builds on organized groups based and government efforts to strengthen their capacity to better manage their public finances. We look for more effective ways to support their efforts: in particular, by bringing together development partners and other interested groups to:
- Promote good practices in implementing the PFM Act
- Share knowledge and experiences
- Strengthen accountability, transparency and Budget openness at the county level
Institute of Public Finance undertakes research in areas of revenue and taxation, fiscal management, public expenditure, macro-economic policies, citizen participation in the Public Finance system, and other Public Finance and policy issues.
